According to the public relations office of the Ministry of Science, as reported by the Islamic World Science Citation Center (ISC), Sadjad University has been recognized as the fifth best non-governmental university in the country in1402 in the ISC rankings.
The new national ranking criteria for universities are considered in six areas: Education (25%), Research (20%), Technology and Innovation (15%), Scientific and Technological Diplomacy (15%), Cultural, Social, and Student Affairs (15%), and Management and Productivity (10%).
Each of these main criteria is further subdivided into several key indicators and sub-indicators, allowing for a separate evaluation of the university's performance in each area. The main criteria are presented in Table 1.
The necessary information for the ranking of universities and research institutions has been collected through three main approaches:
1. Research data gathered from national and international databases, which is extracted and monitored by the Ranking and Citation Analysis Management of the ISC.
2. Self-reporting by universities, achieved through the completion of an electronic ranking questionnaire by university representatives.
3. Additional information provided to the ranking group by the Ministry of Science, Research and Technology or its affiliated organizations.
In the ranking of 1401-1402, a total of 115 public universities and 21 non-governmental universities were assessed, with their information reviewed and evaluated. Based on their characteristics, each university was classified and ranked accordingly.
