With close collaboration of the Department of Physical Education and Extracurricular Activities, Sadjad University women’s chess team participated in championship competitions of university students in region 9 of the country. This event was held at Shandiz institute of higher education on January 1 in numerous team and individual competitions.

Sadjad university team consisted of: Ms. Khazeni (coach) and the students including Ms. Sajedeh Nemati (sports sciences student), Ms. Aida Nadafi (TEFL student), and Ms. Shahrzad Moheghi (psychology student). Eventually, the mentioned athletes could secure the second team place in these competitions.

It is worth noting that Ms. Sajedeh Nemati achieving the first place in blitz chess competitions could attain the national Olympiad quota of university students in 2026.
