As part of efforts to strengthen university–industry relations and capitalize on technology opportunities in the oil, gas, and petrochemical sectors, Dr. Hadi Kalani, Director of Sadjad University’s Office of Industry Relations, participated in a consultation and collaboration meeting of the “PetroTech” ecosystem. The meeting was held on 28 Mordad 1405 (19 August 2026), organized by the Industrial Estates Company of Razavi Khorasan Province, to identify and develop technological solutions for the oil, gas, and petrochemical industries.

Participants discussed the event’s objectives and themes, as well as possible forms of participation, including issuing calls for proposals, introducing technology teams, evaluation, mentoring, event sponsorship, providing laboratory capacity, implementing pilot projects, and commercializing technologies.

The main themes of PetroTech include chemicals and process technologies; catalysts and advanced industrial materials; process optimization and energy efficiency; industrial process digitalization and monitoring; environmental and green technologies; and corrosion management and extension of industrial equipment service life.

Sadjad University’s participation marks a step toward playing an active role in addressing industry’s technological challenges and establishing a sound basis for university–industry collaboration in Razavi Khorasan Province.
