Through the dedicated efforts of the Physical Education and Extracurricular Activities Unit of Sadjad University, the University's men's judo team competed in the Region 9 National Selection Tournament, organized to determine qualifying quotas for the 2026 National Student Olympiad, held at Ferdowsi University of Mashhad.
The competition was held at a remarkably high level, drawing participation from national champions and athletes who have earned medals at international and world-class competitions.
In this demanding field, Amirhossein Poustini, an undergraduate student in the Department of Sport Sciences, delivered an outstanding performance in the 90 kg weight category, clinching the individual championship title and securing his qualification for the National Student Olympiad.
Furthermore, through the commendable collective efforts of its members, the Sadjad University Judo Team achieved second place in the overall team standings — a significant accomplishment in a field of exceptionally competitive athletes.
